Our impact
Driven by evidence
Data helps tell the story of our work, how communities, partners, and local systems come together to reduce poverty and create lasting change. It reflects the collective effort behind every outcome, showing how people are supported, how lives begin to improve, and how change takes root over time.
More importantly, data helps us listen. The numbers, together with the voices and experiences of communities, show us what is working and where more needs to be done.
This understanding allows us to learn, adapt, and continue strengthening the way we support meaningful and lasting change.
Understanding change
Change is understood in two connected ways.
One is the immediate benefit people gain by taking part in programmes and activities. This reflects how support reaches individuals and communities.
The other is the longer-term transformation that happens over time. This looks at how people’s lives improve in a deeper and more sustained way.
Looking at both gives a clearer picture of not just who is reached, but how real change is taking place.
Participation and Reach
This reflects the number of people who are directly involved in programmes through training, services, resources, or community activities. It shows how widely support is reaching and who is benefiting in the moment. It helps understand the scale of the work and whether the right people are being reached. Participation and reach represent the first step, ensuring individuals are engaged and supported.
Lasting Impact
This reflects the longer term changes in people’s lives as a result of sustained support. It looks at improvements such as increased income, stronger resilience, and greater decision making power within households and communities. Lasting impact shows how support leads to meaningful and continued change over time.
